Ok I finally made it over to the sand box. I live in Orlando, the sand box is far away and traffic sucks.
I came over here because I looked at Anon's myspace page(way to go, outing him ladies, "ousted"? Tracy are you trying to kill him?).
I went to Villanova, a fellow Big East school, I graduated from there with an engineering degree, and my senior year I lived in King of Prussia. I'm going back there in three weeks for my sister's graduation. Also, in Sept I'm going to West Virginia to go whitewater rafting on the Gauley River. Have you ever been?

I lived just down the street on PA-13(West Chester Pike) from 'Nova.
I wasn't too sad to leave KofP area as the traffic there TRULY sucked. Manayunk was about 20 minute drive though and was awesome to just go to Manayunk Brewing Company on the river for Friday lunch and just STAY and never go back to work. :)

You lucky bastards! I haven't been out on the water since I moved to Florida. That alone depresses the hell outta me.
The neighbors and I have been talking about renting a boat for a full day of that kind of debauchery. I wanted to see about doing that for July 4th around the Landing. However, I can't seem to find a rental place the matches exactly to what we want to do...
Sucks that none of the neighbors has a 'big' enough boat for that kind of activity.

$2K is pretty strong, but I guess it depends on how many ways you're splitting it up. It better hold at least 10, 2 full baths, and a galley, etc... I'm thinking that over $200 a person would be a strech for many... 3 hours is not a lot of engine time either.

Wow, that is way overkill for the size boat we'd need.
I'm guessing we'd have under 10 people. Honestly, something as cheesy as a pontoon boat for the day/night would be fine. Much easier to navigate too once its dark out and your bouncing off the other 1000 boats around the Landing on July 4th.
That boat does sound cool for a huge event though. Is that the one you guys went out on recently?
I understand the engine time thing. Personally, I rarely think about docking unless it is to check out a bar/restaurant.
Remember, I still haven't been out on the water down here, so maybe it's a lot different. In the northeast, where I last had a boat, we'd be out on the water for at least 6 hours. The engine was hardly ever off during that time as we'd constantly be cruising around.
Hmm... That is definitely a different MO. I guess because here most of the 'riding' is in the river or on the ILW.
We were on a huge bay that had maybe 2 or 3 restaurants within a 30-40 minute boat ride. Most of our time was spent either drunk-tubing or water skiing, and we'd possibly grab some food at one of those places at the end of the day.

Going to the neighbor's 4 yr old daughter's B-day party this afternoon. Good thing I don't have a hangover.
I made it... but don't think not going didn't cross my mind. However, it was a good cause and turned out to be fun. We listened to music, chatted with the bicyclists, had the best rest stop in the two day ride...

Just FYI for everyone... I should have described this better before.
They send these steaks, never having been frozen, via overnight shipment in dry ice. All the steaks are individually vacuum packed, which is nice for freezing. Anyway, I don't mind selling off a couple of any pack that I end up ordering. In other words, you don't 'have' to buy 10 steaks if you don't want to... :)
Ugh... speaking of sand and 'dirt' in general. I've got so many friggin meetings and real work to do today.
Somewhere in between I've got to give my dog a bath outside. This is always an ordeal as he doesn't like it and becomes the famous 130lb immovable Akita. Swim trunks are already on for this endeavour.

Maki - Make sure YOU get a copy of the films to keep yourself. I've found that it's a MAJOR PITA to get those 'sent' to you should you happen to need the actual films, and not just the summary report.
Keep the originals if you can't get a copy, and put them in a closet somewhere.

So I couldn't sleep and woke up at 5am. I screwed around with this stupid BellSouth DSL all morning. Even called Tech support, which I knew would be a mistake. I usually know how to 'work' Tech support to get me to where I want them to go asap, but this dude was so friggin slow.
Anyway, after an hour and a waste of time, I STILL can't log in to MySpace from my house. There's got to be some kind of proxy issue, because everything else works fine.
I've tried reseting the Linksys router, updated the firmware in an attempt to destroy any 'cache' still on the router, etc... Still no dice. Really strange.
If I VPN into work using my work laptop, then I'm able to log in. But, Big Brother is always watching their network, so I don't wanna be doing that too often.
If I use a 3rd party proxy site like kproxy, I can get in to Myspace. However, I don't really like having to do that, either. Totally pissed right now.
I was having a lot of trouble logging in from my BellSouth at home, too. I tend to think it's something to do with BellSouth as opposed to your router and such.

It's actually more of a "chucka-chucka-chucka" sound along with a "brang... brang... brang..." sound in there as well. You'd be surprised at the range of sounds a large tube full of magnets makes. You become very aware of it when you can't do anything else and are trying to avoid going completely insane...

I'm liking this Dr. Office more and more lately. If I had gone to my Dr. up in Philly, he would have said take Advil for a couple weeks and don't use that arm. :P

Well, went this afternoon for an X-ray over at Baptist South. I have to say that that is the cleanest and friendliest hospital I've ever been in. I hardly sat down after registering and they had me in the x-ray room. Try that shit in Philly, it wouldn't happen.
Anyway, PT starts Wednesday afternoon. Still have to see if the x-ray shows anything.

BTW - What's going on for July 4th with you guys? The party thing down here is a no go it seems. I was wanting to do another big one like Memorial Day, but they're not up for it...

That's fucked up about last Father's day weekend. I'm assuming this weekend is your 'normally' scheduled one... as if there is such a thing as a schedule.

I dunnno if my busted phone just needs a new handset battery... I replaced it once about two years ago when it started going dead way too quickly. This time though the damn thing just shut off instantly without any warning. Really odd.
Anyway, I'm not going to mess with it and instead just go looking for either a 900MHz or 5.8GHz cordless, has to have two lines, have a headset jack on the handset for handsfree, etc... Maybe a Uniden or another Panasonic. I have to live on the damn thing for like 6 hours a day, so I'm going to be a bit picky. :)
I had two cordlesses in my old place... kinda retarded... but I think the second one was a gift... it was nicer and even had caller ID on the phone itself... but the old one worked better. I even dropped it in the toilet once and it continued to work after it dried out. The toilet was clean by the way. Or I woulda flushed the phone right down.
That's not retarded... I've got two too, or had. The only corded one I've still got is just for power outage emergencies...

Results from tests back in a week. Had to shell out another $150 today that the insurance didn't cover from the last few visits. And I have the feeling they won't pay for this visit either. They only like to pay for one a year... dammit.

So, I get a phone call at about 9:30am from my neighbor John who is coming off night shift from Bud brewery. He'd already stopped by Total Wine and picked up a 1/4 barrel of beer and wants to bring it over and 'install' it next to the Sierra Nevada keg in my kegerator. (This is for his 4 yr old daughter's B-day tomorrow, BTW!)
So, we wrestle it in there, tight fit, and of course we had to check to make sure it was 'functional'. Ugh, beer before 10am... Feels like college again. ;)
This is going to be an interesting day... BW3 for lunch and then Beer Fest for dinner.

I'm flying up north into Philly and staying with my Mom in NJ until 7/31. My nephew is getting married at some insanely expensive country club... Needless to say, it is costing the bride's parents OVER $35K... Yes I said, $35K! Must be nice to have that kind of cash lying around. (Anyone have $65K I can borrow? I might need it as soon as I get back. ;) ) WTG - Start planning that party girl!
Anyway, we've got a bachelor party set to go for my nephew in NYC, so I predict some serious debauchery will transpire. Sorry, no cameras allowed guys...
